MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- House Agriculture Committee Chairman Mike Conaway (R-TX) is scheduled to provide the keynote address at the 2018 National Cotton Council Annual Meeting's "Program Committees Joint Meeting and Economic Outlook" that begins at 8 a.m. on Saturday, February 10. The Annual Meeting is set for February 9-11 at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel in Fort Worth, Texas.
The NCC's planting intentions survey results will be included in the economic outlook following Rep. Conaway's address. That Saturday morning session also will feature a report from Cotton Incorporated’s President & CEO J. Berrye Worsham.
USDA Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs Ted McKinney will address the convention's general session on Sunday morning, February 11. Also scheduled for that session is a video presentation from Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) who serves as the Majority Whip and on the Senate Committees for Finance, Intelligence, and Judiciary. In addition, NCC Chairman Ronnie Lee will provide a report highlighting NCC activities for the past year.
