Bale Marker Evaluation Study

Print Version

Mills are dissatisfied with any module or bale marking product that is not removable from the cotton because any marking material that cannot be removed during normal mill processing creates a permanent contaminant in cotton fabric. Producers are encouraged to use non-permanent module markers to prevent contamination events from occurring.

Different types of module markers were evaluated in a 2007 study to determine which markers were removable during scouring and bleaching.
