Discounted pre-registration for the 2019 Beltwide Cotton Conferences (BWCC) in New Orleans, La., set for January 8-10, is available until Monday, December 17. Hotel rooms at the New Orleans Marriott will be available at the special conference rate through Thursday, December 20.
On the BWCC’s website are links to pre-register (www.cotton.org/beltwide/index.cfm?page=registration) and for making room reservations (www.cotton.org/beltwide/index.cfm?page=housing).
The 2019 BWCC will begin at noon on January 8 with the half-day Cotton Consultants Conference – open to all attendees. Among scheduled topics selected by the consultant community are: an expert panel of entomologists to discuss bollworm and Bt resistance; objectives of cover crop initiatives; status of new products pertaining to nematodes; the current state of integrated pest management in cotton and future considerations; the status of boll weevil eradication in Texas’ Lower Rio Grande Valley; and a product registration update.
