MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The National Cotton Council (NCC) commends the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) for launching the new $700 million Regenerative Pilot Program as a forward-thinking initiative towards empowering American growers, including our nation's cotton producers, by addressing production costs, enhancing soil health, and ensuring the long-term productivity and resilience of our fiber supply.
"This new Regenerative Pilot Program directly supports U.S. cotton growers’ efforts as they adopt more sustainable practices, reduce input costs, and build healthier soils,” said Patrick Johnson, NCC Chairman. “We believe this investment will yield long-term benefits for cotton and the broader agricultural industry."
